Evo Group is looking for an Experienced Ecommerce Web Developer to join our Ecommerce Development team based at our Normanton Head Office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self‑motivated, hands‑on developer who enjoys variety, ownership, and building scalable ecommerce solutions. You’ll play a key role in developing and supporting our ecommerce platforms, helping to enhance revenue streams and improve the digital experience for our customers across B2B and B2C.

We currently develop and support six ecommerce trading websites, all hosted internally on our own infrastructure.


What you’ll be doing

  • Developing new features and enhancements across existing ecommerce websites
  • Supporting the development of new ecommerce websites and digital services
  • Working with our in‑house ecommerce platform using .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL
  • Collaborating closely with the Group Web Design Team to deliver new designs and functionality
  • Testing, documenting, and resolving application and production issues
  • Supporting suppliers and third‑party partners to deliver improvements or resolve issues
  • Documenting processes and procedures to support first‑line support teams
  • Mentoring and supporting junior developers, helping the team grow
  • Taking ownership of your personal and professional development, sharing best practice across the team

Following a probationary period, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise further in areas best aligned to your strengths and interests.


Skills, knowledge & experience

Essential

  • Strong experience with Microsoft .NET (including .NET Core, WebAPI, Kestrel)
  • C# development experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework Core
  • JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar)
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and technical curiosity
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Desirable skills

  • Ecommerce development experience
  • Cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
  • RESTful APIs and/or microservices
  • Agile / Scrum experience
  • Website and software testing
  • Exposure to technologies such as MVC, Web Services, XML, PHP, IIS, Punch‑Out or Payment Gateways
